Hi, I'm Larry, and I started giftmatcher.net for one reason: finding the perfect gift for an animal lover shouldn't feel like scrolling through the same ten generic lists.

I'm an animal lover through and through — many happy years as a cocker spaniel owner, and these days my heart belongs to Leah, my 200-pound Great Dane. Every guide on this site is written to answer a real question — what do you get the person whose whole world is their pet? — with picks I'd genuinely give to someone I know.

How I pick gifts: I look for things that are thoughtful, well-reviewed, and fairly priced. I don't copy manufacturer descriptions, and I don't recommend things I wouldn't buy myself. When something is a dud, I say so.
